Our Mission
Providing an inclusive space for North Florida’s LGBT+ professionals to network and build their businesses while simultaneously educating allies, the Jacksonville LGBT Chamber of Commerce (AKA “the Gaymber”) approaches advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community through an economic lens.
We believe Inclusive Business is Good Business, and because we know the LGBTQ+ community is a vital part of America as business owners, employers, employees, and consumers, we work tirelessly to support our local LGBTQ+ and allied business community.
In addition to fostering professional connections, we champion leadership development through mentorship programs and educational workshops designed to empower LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to thrive in their industries. By equipping members with the tools and insights necessary to overcome unique challenges, we help cultivate a new generation of leaders who are not only successful but also dedicated to creating a more diverse and equitable business landscape.
Key Initiatives
We focus on several key initiatives to support our mission, including advocacy for pro-LGBTQ+ business policies, providing educational resources and workshops, facilitating networking events, and promoting our members through our online directory. Additionally, we are dedicated to fostering mentorship opportunities by connecting emerging LGBTQ+ professionals with experienced leaders in their industries. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a supportive environment where skills, knowledge, and experiences are shared, empowering the next generation of LGBTQ+ trailblazers to thrive in their careers.

Membership within the chamber provides powerful networking possibilities, one of the most loyal and dedicated consumer niches, marketing and advertising opportunities, and empowerment found through interaction within North Florida’s LGBTQ+ and straight allied community.

As the Gaymber, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and informed community by providing comprehensive education to both the LGBTQ+ and allied communities. Our initiatives include hosting events that address key issues such as diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as offering resources and support for LGBTQ+ businesses and professionals.
Advocacy
Being an ally means amplifying LGBTQI+
life experiences across the diverse spectrum of our communities. This requires taking the time to listen, learn, and lend support to queer voices, especially to BIPOC queer voices who are the most marginalized.
